What plain costs in Maputo

There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.

There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.

Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.

What a plain pod kit really costs in Maputo

Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.99 per 10 ml.

How we tested plain in a pod kit

1. Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
2. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
3. Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.

• Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Mozambique.
• A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
• Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
• The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.

Where plain goes wrong

• Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
• Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
• Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
