Plain pen device IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Plain in Maputo: 23 units tested over 4 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
The honest read on plain: 23 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain pen device really costs in Maputo
Plain sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested plain in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where plain goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT32 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.34 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
