Plain pen device IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Plain in Maputo: 6 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Plain pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 6 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you are looking at plain in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain pen device really costs in Maputo
Plain in Maputo reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested plain in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where plain goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Maputo survives.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does plain in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
