Pear vape pen IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Pear in Maputo: 24 units tested over 7 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good vape pen from a repack
We run pear the same way in Maputo: same vape pen, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.79 per 10 ml.
The short version: pear in Maputo works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear vape pen really costs in Maputo
Pear vape pen reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested pear in a vape pen
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where pear goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT32 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.79 per 10 ml.
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest vape pen available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for pear in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
