Pear sub-ohm kit IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Pear in Maputo: 14 units tested over 6 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good sub-ohm kit from a repack
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.23 per 10 ml.
A pear sub-ohm kit from the flat-rate options in Mozambique costs about MT3.23 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, sub-ohm kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a pear sub-ohm kit really costs in Maputo
We run pear the same way in Maputo: same sub-ohm kit, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested pear in a sub-ohm kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where pear goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT61 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.23 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On pear the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.23 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Is pear legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
