Pear squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Pear in Maputo: 18 units tested over 8 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What pear costs in Maputo
Pear sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The honest read on pear: 18 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: pear in Maputo works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear squonk mod really costs in Maputo
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested pear in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where pear goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
How long does pear in a squonk mod last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 18 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should pear start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
