Pear RDA IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Pear in Maputo: 16 units tested over 5 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
If you are looking at pear in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the RDA you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run pear the same way in Maputo: same RDA, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: pear in Maputo works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear RDA really costs in Maputo
Pear in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested pear in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where pear goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in Maputo survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

| Entry kit | MT65 | What a first order really pays |

Frequently asked questions
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
How long does pear in a RDA last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should pear start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a RDA.
