Pear RDA IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Pear in Maputo: 15 units tested over 7 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the pear habit
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.9 per 10 ml.
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: pear in Maputo works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear RDA really costs in Maputo
The honest read on pear: 15 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested pear in a RDA
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where pear goes wrong
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a RDA cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.9 per 10 ml liquid plus MT66 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
