Pear prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Pear in Maputo: 23 units tested over 6 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good prefilled pod from a repack
Pear in Maputo reaches the shelf in prefilled pod formats, and the value ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.04 per 10 ml.
The short version: pear in Maputo works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

How we tested pear in a prefilled pod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where pear goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
