Pear prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Pear in Maputo: 20 units tested over 6 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What pear costs in Maputo
We run pear the same way in Maputo: same prefilled pod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 20 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a pear prefilled pod really costs in Maputo
The honest read on pear: 20 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested pear in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where pear goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised MT38 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.84 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.

Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On pear the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.84 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
