Pear pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist
Pear in Maputo: 15 units tested over 8 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What pear costs in Maputo
Pear sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The honest read on pear: 15 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a pear pod kit really costs in Maputo
Pear in Maputo reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested pear in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where pear goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised MT50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.17 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

| Entry kit | MT50 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.17 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
Is pear legal to sell in Mozambique?
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
How long does pear in a pod kit last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
