Pear mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Pear in Maputo: 6 units tested over 2 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a mesh tank for pear
We run pear the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Pear in Maputo reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear mesh tank really costs in Maputo
The honest read on pear: 6 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested pear in a mesh tank
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where pear goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

| Stock checked | 6 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT58 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT1.61 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How long does pear in a mesh tank last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On pear the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT1.61 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
