Pear cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Pear in Maputo: 14 units tested over 8 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a cartomizer for pear
Pear in Maputo reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you are looking at pear in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: pear in Maputo works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear cartomizer really costs in Maputo
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.14 per 10 ml.
How we tested pear in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where pear goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Treating the advertised MT57 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.14 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

|---|---|---|

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~7 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT57 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT3.14 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should pear start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
How long does pear in a cartomizer last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On pear the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.14 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
