Peach prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Peach in Maputo: 15 units tested over 6 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Peach prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.64 per 10 ml.
A peach prefilled pod from the budget options in Mozambique costs about MT1.64 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: peach in Maputo works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a peach prefilled pod really costs in Maputo
Peach in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested peach in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where peach goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.64 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT65 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT1.64 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Why does peach taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the peach blend itself harsh.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.64 per 10 ml liquid plus MT65 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
