Peach box mod IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Peach in Maputo: 11 units tested over 3 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Peach box mod here
We run peach the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: peach in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a peach box mod really costs in Maputo
Peach prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.99 per 10 ml.
How we tested peach in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a peach bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where peach goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why peach tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for peach in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
