Passionfruit zero-nicotine bottle IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist — Iqosmozambique
Passionfruit in Maputo: 10 units tested over 3 weeks, zero-nicotine bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a zero-nicotine bottle for passionfruit
We run passionfruit the same way in Maputo: same zero-nicotine bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Passionfruit prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.96 per 10 ml.
The short version: passionfruit in Maputo works if the zero-nicotine bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a passionfruit zero-nicotine bottle really costs in Maputo
If you are looking at passionfruit in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the zero-nicotine bottle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested passionfruit in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the zero-nicotine bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a passionfruit bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where passionfruit goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing passionfruit with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why passionfruit tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
Why does passionfruit taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the passionfruit blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should passionfruit start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a zero-nicotine bottle.
How long does passionfruit in a zero-nicotine bottle last?
In Maputo we measured 3 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
