Passionfruit pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Passionfruit in Maputo: 7 units tested over 8 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Passionfruit is allowed to say
We run passionfruit the same way in Maputo: same pod kit, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A passionfruit pod kit from the online options in Mozambique costs about MT3.25 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: passionfruit in Maputo works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a passionfruit pod kit really costs in Maputo
Passionfruit in Maputo reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested passionfruit in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a passionfruit bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where passionfruit goes wrong
- Mixing passionfruit with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT41 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.25 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Why does passionfruit taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the passionfruit blend itself harsh.
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.25 per 10 ml liquid plus MT41 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On passionfruit the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.25 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
