Nutty pen device IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Nutty in Maputo: 6 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Nutty pen device here
Nutty prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.34 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at nutty in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long nutty tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a nutty pen device really costs in Maputo
Nutty sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested nutty in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where nutty goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised MT45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.34 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for nutty in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
