Mintice cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Mintice in Maputo: 10 units tested over 6 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Mintice cartomizer here
Mintice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.69 per 10 ml.
Mintice in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: mintice in Maputo works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mintice cartomizer really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested mintice in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mintice bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where mintice goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mintice tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised MT35 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.69 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

| Entry kit | MT35 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.69 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mintice the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.69 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does mintice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mintice blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
