Mint prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Mint in Maputo: 13 units tested over 2 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good prefilled pod from a repack
A mint prefilled pod from the starter options in Mozambique costs about MT1.83 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Mint prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.83 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long mint tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mint prefilled pod really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested mint in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where mint goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mint tastes flat after two days.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
How long does mint in a prefilled pod last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 13 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
