Melon pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Melon in Maputo: 6 units tested over 6 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
Melon in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The honest read on melon: 6 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon pod kit really costs in Maputo
A melon pod kit from the bulk options in Mozambique costs about MT2.13 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested melon in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where melon goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT57 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.13 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why melon tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long melon in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
