Melon pod kit IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Melon in Maputo: 21 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Melon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.31 per 10 ml.
Melon sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon pod kit really costs in Maputo
Melon sounds like one product. It is not: a pod kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested melon in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where melon goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Treating the advertised MT58 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.31 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Melon | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | pod kit | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 21 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT58 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT3.31 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On melon the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.31 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does melon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
