Melon cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the online shortlist
Melon in Maputo: 21 units tested over 5 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Melon cartomizer here
Melon cartomizer reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 21 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long melon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a melon cartomizer really costs in Maputo
Melon in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested melon in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a melon bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where melon goes wrong
- Mixing melon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised MT32 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.96 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for melon in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On melon the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT1.96 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does melon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.96 per 10 ml liquid plus MT32 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
