Melon box mod IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Melon in Maputo: 23 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How we tested Melon box mod here
A melon box mod from the compared options in Mozambique costs about MT3.39 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The honest read on melon: 23 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: melon in Maputo works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a melon box mod really costs in Maputo
Melon in Maputo reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested melon in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every melon bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where melon goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised MT64 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.39 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

How long does melon in a box mod last?
In Maputo we measured 4 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.

Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
