Mango pen device IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Mango in Maputo: 22 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the mango habit
A mango pen device from the value options in Mozambique costs about MT2.99 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long mango tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mango pen device really costs in Maputo
Mango prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.99 per 10 ml.
How we tested mango in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where mango goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mango tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised MT61 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.99 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for mango in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Mozambique?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 7–14 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does mango in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 7 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does mango taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the mango blend itself harsh.
