Mango 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Mango in Maputo: 8 units tested over 9 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What the label on Mango is allowed to say
Mango in a 30 ml shortfill is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
A mango 30 ml shortfill from the budget options in Mozambique costs about MT1.84 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long mango tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a mango 30 ml shortfill really costs in Maputo
We run mango the same way in Maputo: same 30 ml shortfill, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested mango in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a mango bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where mango goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT64 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.84 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing mango with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for mango in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
How long does mango in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In Maputo we measured 9 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a 30 ml shortfill cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.84 per 10 ml liquid plus MT64 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should mango start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 30 ml shortfill.
