Lime pen device IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Lime in Maputo: 22 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
Lime in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Below is the run we did for this search: 22 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a lime pen device really costs in Maputo
Lime pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested lime in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a lime bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where lime goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.06 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long lime in Maputo survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why lime tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for lime in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should lime start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Why does lime taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the lime blend itself harsh.
How long does lime in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 7 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
