Lime cartomizer IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist
Lime in Maputo: 22 units tested over 8 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with lime in Mozambique
We run lime the same way in Maputo: same cartomizer, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Lime in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 22 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a lime cartomizer really costs in Maputo
Lime in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested lime in a cartomizer
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where lime goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Treating the advertised MT45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.39 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Lime | Decides coil choice more than strength does |

| Stock checked | 22 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~6 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT45 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.39 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How long does lime in a cartomizer last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 22 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.39 per 10 ml liquid plus MT45 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should lime start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
