Lime box mod IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Lime in Maputo: 8 units tested over 6 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What lime costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you are looking at lime in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long lime tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a lime box mod really costs in Maputo
We run lime the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested lime in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 8 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lime bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where lime goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why lime tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised MT40 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.96 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for lime in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On lime the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.96 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.96 per 10 ml liquid plus MT40 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does lime taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the lime blend itself harsh.
