Lime box mod IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Lime in Maputo: 23 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Ordering IQOS to Maputo: the practical version
Lime prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.74 per 10 ml.
Lime in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long lime tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a lime box mod really costs in Maputo
The honest read on lime: 23 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested lime in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a lime bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lime bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where lime goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

| Entry kit | MT63 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.74 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Why does lime taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the lime blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should lime start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.74 per 10 ml liquid plus MT63 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
