Licorice prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Licorice in Maputo: 18 units tested over 4 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with licorice in Mozambique
Licorice in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The honest read on licorice: 18 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested licorice in a prefilled pod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.08 per 10 ml.
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
