Licorice mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Licorice in Maputo: 15 units tested over 4 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What licorice costs in Maputo
Licorice in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run licorice the same way in Maputo: same mesh tank, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice mesh tank really costs in Maputo
Licorice mesh tank reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 4 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested licorice in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every licorice bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.58 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long licorice in Maputo survives.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for licorice in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Not automatically. On licorice the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.58 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.

On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.58 per 10 ml liquid plus MT65 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
