Licorice box mod IQOS in Maputo: the budget shortlist
Licorice in Maputo: 24 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a box mod for licorice
If you are looking at licorice in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run licorice the same way in Maputo: same box mod, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice box mod really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested licorice in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why licorice tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for licorice in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

How long does licorice in a box mod last?
