Lemon squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Lemon in Maputo: 9 units tested over 9 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What lemon costs in Maputo
We run lemon the same way in Maputo: same squonk mod, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Lemon in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: lemon in Maputo works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

How we tested lemon in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every lemon bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised MT45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.18 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
