What lemon costs in Maputo
A lemon squonk mod from the budget options in Mozambique costs about MT2.95 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run lemon the same way in Maputo: same squonk mod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 19 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a lemon squonk mod really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested lemon in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Treating the advertised MT41 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.95 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
