Lemon pen device IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Lemon in Maputo: 19 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the lemon habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you are looking at lemon in Mozambique, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Below is the run we did for this search: 19 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a lemon pen device really costs in Maputo
Lemon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.93 per 10 ml.
How we tested lemon in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Stock depth: 19 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a lemon bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing lemon with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for lemon in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does lemon in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should lemon start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Why does lemon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the lemon blend itself harsh.
