Lemon 100 ml bottle IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Lemon in Maputo: 9 units tested over 8 weeks, 100 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with lemon in Mozambique
Lemon prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.63 per 10 ml.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the 100 ml bottle you buy decides how long lemon tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a lemon 100 ml bottle really costs in Maputo
We run lemon the same way in Maputo: same 100 ml bottle, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested lemon in a 100 ml bottle
- Pick the 100 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 100 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a lemon bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where lemon goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why lemon tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does lemon in a 100 ml bottle last?
In Maputo we measured 8 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On lemon the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.63 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
