Iced squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the guide shortlist
Iced in Maputo: 12 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a squonk mod for iced
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.39 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced squonk mod really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested iced in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where iced goes wrong
- Mixing iced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long iced in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT2.39 per 10 ml liquid plus MT62 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On iced the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.39 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
