Iced refill pack IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Iced in Maputo: 23 units tested over 7 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Where buyers go wrong with iced in Mozambique
The honest read on iced: 23 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run iced the same way in Maputo: same refill pack, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the refill pack you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced refill pack really costs in Maputo
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.36 per 10 ml.
How we tested iced in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where iced goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised MT55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.36 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest refill pack available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for iced in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does iced in a refill pack last?
In Maputo we measured 7 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT3.36 per 10 ml liquid plus MT55 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
