Iced refill pack IQOS in Maputo: the best shortlist
Iced in Maputo: 7 units tested over 7 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the iced habit
A iced refill pack from the best options in Mozambique costs about MT3.14 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.14 per 10 ml.
The short version: iced in Maputo works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a iced refill pack really costs in Maputo
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT3.14 per 10 ml.
How we tested iced in a refill pack
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where iced goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why iced tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised MT46 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT3.14 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a refill pack and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure.
Packaging for iced in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
