Iced pen device IQOS in Maputo: the compare shortlist
Iced in Maputo: 13 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
How to tell a good pen device from a repack
Iced sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Iced pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced pen device really costs in Maputo
Most people searching IQOS in Mozambique are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested iced in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where iced goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why iced tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Maputo: about MT1.61 per 10 ml liquid plus MT63 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does iced in a pen device last?
In Maputo we measured 2 to 13 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.
