Iced mesh tank IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Iced in Maputo: 8 units tested over 4 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Iced in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.09 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced mesh tank really costs in Maputo
Iced in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested iced in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
Where iced goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Treating the advertised MT56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.09 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|

| Format | mesh tank | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~5 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT56 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT2.09 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |
