Iced box mod IQOS in Maputo: the price shortlist
Iced in Maputo: 7 units tested over 6 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the iced habit
Iced in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Iced in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced box mod really costs in Maputo
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.68 per 10 ml.
How we tested iced in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where iced goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised MT55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT2.68 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On iced the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.68 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
How long does iced in a box mod last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 7 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
