Iced in Maputo: 18 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What iced costs in Maputo
A iced box mod from the discounted options in Mozambique costs about MT2.37 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.37 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced box mod really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested iced in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where iced goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Mozambique accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
