Honey starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the cheap shortlist
Honey in Maputo: 19 units tested over 4 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Choosing a starter kit for honey
Honey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT1.94 per 10 ml.
The honest read on honey: 19 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long honey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a honey starter kit really costs in Maputo
Honey in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Maputo the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested honey in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a honey bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where honey goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why honey tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long honey in Maputo survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should honey start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
Why does honey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the honey blend itself harsh.
