Honey squonk mod IQOS in Maputo: the review shortlist
Honey in Maputo: 18 units tested over 3 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the honey habit
Honey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.89 per 10 ml.
Honey sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 18 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a honey squonk mod really costs in Maputo
Honey squonk mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested honey in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every honey bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Mozambique, not a suggestion.
Where honey goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why honey tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing honey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for honey in Mozambique must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On honey the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.89 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should honey start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
Why does honey taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the honey blend itself harsh.
