Herbal starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the order shortlist
Herbal in Maputo: 15 units tested over 6 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Delivery, returns and what 7–14 business days really means
The honest read on herbal: 15 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run herbal the same way in Maputo: same starter kit, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: herbal in Maputo works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a herbal starter kit really costs in Maputo
Ordering into Maputo usually means waiting 7–14 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested herbal in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every herbal bottle shipped into Mozambique.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing herbal with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does herbal in a starter kit last?
In Maputo we measured 6 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On herbal the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT3.52 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should herbal start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
