Herbal starter kit IQOS in Maputo: the flat shortlist
Herbal in Maputo: 11 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the herbal habit
Herbal in Maputo reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
We run herbal the same way in Maputo: same starter kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: herbal in Maputo works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a herbal starter kit really costs in Maputo
The honest read on herbal: 11 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested herbal in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Mozambique, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long herbal in Maputo survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why herbal tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does herbal in a starter kit last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 11 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should herbal start at?
Start at whatever Mozambique allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On herbal the budget price and the premium price can sit within MT2.84 per 10 ml once 7–14 business days is counted.
