Herbal RDA IQOS in Maputo: the deals shortlist
Herbal in Maputo: 22 units tested over 7 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
What herbal costs in Maputo
We run herbal the same way in Maputo: same RDA, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Herbal prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Maputo that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within MT2.56 per 10 ml.
The short version: herbal in Maputo works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a herbal RDA really costs in Maputo
A herbal RDA from the discounted options in Mozambique costs about MT2.56 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested herbal in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Mozambique, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- Coil type inside the RDA, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every herbal bottle shipped into Mozambique.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long herbal in Maputo survives.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Mozambique need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
