Herbal prefilled pod IQOS in Maputo: the wholesale shortlist
Herbal in Maputo: 7 units tested over 5 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Mozambique.
Coil life, liquid cost and the herbal habit
We run herbal the same way in Maputo: same prefilled pod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Herbal prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 7 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 7 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a herbal prefilled pod really costs in Maputo
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Mozambique. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested herbal in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 7–14 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 7–14 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a herbal bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where herbal goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in Mozambique stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised MT50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run MT1.8 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Mozambique sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Mozambique is an emerging channel with limited retail infrastructure. Shipping of nicotine to Mozambique runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Herbal | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | prefilled pod | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 7 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Mozambique |
| Coil life | ~6 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Mozambique | 7–14 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | MT50 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | MT1.8 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Why does herbal taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the herbal blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Mozambique?
Yes, tracked to 7–14 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
How long does herbal in a prefilled pod last?
In Maputo we measured 5 to 7 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
